What can DermaRoller microneedling help treat?

We provide DermeRoller treatments to help treat the following;

How does the DermaRoller treatment work?

Using a DermaRoller– a hand held single-use medical instrument studded with very fine needles. This produces thousands of micro needle columns in the skin – of around 0.1mm wide that rapidly close up, causing the skin to jump-start its natural healing process.

How many sessions of DermaRoller microneedling are required?

Treatment would typically comprise of 3 sessions with 6 – 8 weeks between each.

Does the DermaRoller hurt?

The DermaRoller treatment is relatively pain-free and any potential discomfort is prevented by applying anaesthetic cream to the treatment area before using the DermaRoller.

How soon will I start seeing results?

Visible signs of regeneration are usually evident after around 6 weeks.

Are there any side-effects of DermaRoller Microneedling?

DermaRoller microneedling treatment has been proven to be safe with no side-effects. Immediately after treatment, skin will appear flushed, feel warm and tighter than usual, this typically subsides after a couple of hours with only slight redness the next day. Post procedure, skincare will be prescribed to help soothe, calm and protect the skin. After 3 days clients can return to their regular skin care routine.

Will the DermaRoller treatment leave any scars?

DermaRoller treatment is often used to help scars heal, unsightly scarring is not an immediate threat.

About Dermapen

DermaPen is a skin microneedling treatment that creates micro-injuries to the inner and outer layer of the skin, which stimulates new collagen production. It promotes the skin’s natural self-rejuvenating process to improve the appearance of acne scars, wrinkles and fine lines, stretchmarks, and skin pigmentation.

Can the DermaPen treatment be done on all skin types?

Yes, this treatment can be safely performed on all skin types with no risk of hyperpigmentation. The needle only penetrates through the epidermis and does not remove it thus the skin’s natural protective barrier remains intact.

Does the DermaPen Treatment hurt?

You may feel slight discomfort during this microneedling treatment but numbing cream can be applied to the skin beforehand. Some pinpoint bleeding may occur however, you will not experience ongoing bleeding after the treatment. You can expect redness for 12-48 hours after the procedure.

Is DermaPen suitable for me?

The DermaPen treatment is not suitable for those who are pregnant or lactating. It is also advised against those with skin concerns such as Rosacea, Psoriasis or Eczema or those who have recently had facial fillers.

Will there be any downtime after the DermaPen treatment?

The skin will look inflamed and sensitised for several hours after the treatment, thus we advise that you have a microneedling treatment at the end of a working day or on a day off from work/events that are in the days following your treatment.
