Anti-wrinkle injections are used to treat wrinkles and fine lines including Forehead lines, frown lines, crow’s feet, and chin dimples. How do Anti-wrinkle Injections work?

The Anti-Wrinkle treatment works by using small amount of a protein to prevent signals from our nerve cells reaching the affected muscles and thus effectively temporarily paralyzing them. The injected muscle no longer contracts which causes wrinkles to relax and soften, and preventing new deeper wrinkles from forming.

Why Anti-wrinkle Injections?

Anti-wrinkle injections are the most effective treatment for skin rejuvenation – smoothing out and preventing deeper lines and wrinkles from forming, with proven results.

A face-to-face consultation will be arranged prior to the treatment. After the treatment we will advise you on aftercare and arrange a follow-up review appointment.

Does the treatment leave any scars?

The treatment is completely non-invasive and will leave no scarring. You are welcome to view results from our many happy previous patients, who have had the procedure at our clinic in London.

When will I see results?

A smoother and more rejuvenated appearance will typically show 3 days after the treatment and full results will be visible after approximately 2 weeks.

How long do the effects last?

The first wrinkle treatment will usually lasts for up to 4 months, after the second or third treatment, muscles can become de-sensitised extending the effect of the treatment for up to 6 months.

Are there any side effects?

As with any injection procedure, patients may experience a temporary burning sensation and possible bruising / swelling. These side-effects are relatively mild and do not occur often. In rare cases the side-effects may include drooping eyelids, caused by the injected fluid migrating away from the injection site. However, this effect usually disappears within a short period of time. Serious side-effects are extremely rare, but it is important to contact us immediately in the event of any of the following;

Bruising
Trouble swallowing
Allergic reactions

It is important to inform us of any muscle/nerve conditions, pre-existing medical conditions and medicines/treatments you may be taking prior to receiving Anti-Wrinkle injections to reduce the risk of an adverse side-effects.
